Saajan, I had read your previous story too and I feel sorry for that. But in this case you are not gaining and thus losing nothing. It can hurt and it's a bitter truth but I would like to suggest not to indulge in love again. This story can end in 'better way' for you but after reading your last paragraphs I think a bit of misunderstanding can lead to worse case. Try to be realistic as well.

Pls don't compare Smriti with Sapna.Sapna was your past..It's really sad those unfortunate incident happened to you.You seemed to be a nice ,decent guy.You have suffered a lot.Pls let go of your past. I'm sure Sapna never wanted you to be miserable.Try to take things easily.I know u can't forget her,no need to forget her.Try to remember happy times with her,cherish all those moments.But now we are talking about present and future.U don't deserve to be sad! Nobody deserves sad life.

Smriti is a different person.Don't compare Smriti with Sapna.From your story it looks like she likes you too,wants to know you but when you wanted to give the gifts you bought for Sapna,maybe she got scared there.Maybe she doesn't want Sapana's present.She would have readily accepted and would me more happy if u had bought something for her. Nobody wants to be compared with another person.She is a different individual.From your side ,it looks like u like her coz she looks like Sapna.Try to look at her from different angle.Try to find about Smriti.She might be a nice person completely different from Sapna.There is nothing wrong to like people with different personalities.You r not two timing here.SAPNA IS YOUR PAST.

Live your life today.Pls pls let go of your past.Try to be happy. You can donate that gift to charities or goodwill.Some needy person will get it.Buy something specially for Smriti,if u really like Smriti for what she is.

Bideshi, honestly man I think you opened my eyes, I think I should get over this and focus ahead... the reason why I was acting like that is because at that particular moment I felt like I saw light at the end of a loooong and dark tunnel, so I just got attracted by that light... Sometimes you need balls to say this, so here is my take!
More than a story, was this was a futile attempt at writing a love-letter to Smriti? I read about what happened to you previously and I am sorry about that but you are now acting like an annoying five-year-old. If you want to write a story, read some! May be you should start out with sum_off's.
Stop judging/comparing people and begging them to come back in Sajha. If you have a personal dillema, then post your problem. Don't post a story with irrelevant details in two languages.We don't want to hear about 'coding' someone's feelings. If you still have feelings for that Sapana girl, then don't use Smriti to forget her.

I think I was kind of being selfish to use someone to get over my own problem, I should not have dragged her into my situation… but you know its like one of those things where people have no other options and do things which may not be appropriate.. and obviously I am NOT a perfect person from every expect, I am just a normal human being with feelings and when something like this happens in anyone’s life then we are likely to do things that may not be appropriate from every aspects. Listen man, each and every person in this world are different in their character. Just because Smriti has a identical face does not mean she has the same attitude. She can be even better, you never know. So, if you like Smriti then try to understand her the way she is, not because she looks like Sapana. As Bideshi suggested, buy her different gift and propose her, you never know she might say “yes”. Good luck

My eyes really got filled-up but I cannot drop tears at my work.  I had a similar story like you till 9 months period in Nepal but everything went good and My love is with me here in US. I cannot imagine how you were able to cope up with the circumstances.

I know there is still you cannot think anything except Sapana but move ahead and be true to Smriti, what is gone is already gone now. I think Smriti wants you to remember her and Love har as Smriti not as Sapana so make sure to give her the full access to your heart like an admin to various servers.

I know definately Smriti will respond you but make sure to drive your talk accordingly to make her feel special.

Saajan bro.......what you have gone through in the past is extremely tragic and sad. Here is what you have to do....Move on Bro. You cant go around searching for Sapana in the girls you meet in Life. You seem to be fixed on how Sapana and you shared those priceless moments together. Bro you will face a huge dissapointment when you find out that Smriti is a total different person with a whole different personality. Reading your story part 2 made me feel that you in a way scared Sapana away. Dont act like a crazed lover like Sharuk Khan from Daar, there is nothing wrong with that but its kinda a scary. DO NOT COMPARE her with sapana. See her for who she truly is bro Ok......you have all our best wishes but........dont try to win love with sympathy......win it through pure mutual desire for each others  characters . You are a true lover and Smriti or any girl will be blessed to have you as a husband, Cherish your memories like just a sweet memory....dont expect to re- live it again...... .

Saajan, it is better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all .So go for Smriti  and do not even think about comparing her to Sapana  otherwise you will be in the middle of two boats.

Part 1--Here is my past: I loved a girl dearly, but she died. It was tragic.

Part 2-- Ms. XYZ, your picture inspired me to write Part 1. You are as beautiful as she was; you are just like her. Infact, I believe, you are her. Please, accept my love. Please, I have gone through a lot, you have to except my love. Even if you choose not to accept my love, I will always see her in you. To me, you are her.     

Bottomline--Emotional Blackmail.

Suggestion: It is entirely up to you to move on or not. If you decide to love again, love the person for who she is, not for who she resembles--love Smriti as Smriti, not Smriti as Sapana. Think of Sapana as a 'Sapana,' and forget her as a sweet dream, but if you decide not to move on, cherish the moments that you spent with Sapana. Hold on to those moments; let her live in your thoughts. Don't ever forget that there is-was-only one Sapana, and no one ever can take her place. She is too special to be replaced by someone else.

If I were you, I would choose not to move on. I would let her live in my thoughts, and cherish her forever without confusing her to be someone else. But again, easier said than done.

Gotta say, part 2 really disappointed me !! The love I felt in part 1, just vanished in thin air in part 2.

Megalomaniac is right, love Smriti for Smriti and not the Sapana you see in her. Thats the advice I got. But, what do I know !!!
