Hey Ibsh, Good to know that you are considering Public health. You need to be more specific about speciality that you wanna pursue within PH to get more specific response to your question. If you want to do MS only, then Biostat seems a hot cake in the job market. However if you don't want to deal with mathmatical modelling, then epidemiology would be better- remember MS/MPH in epi would not take you that high in career ladder in future so PhD is recommended. If you have any specific question, drop at epid08@gmail.com Good luck! Dharan

I was thinking of health policy management major because I have a business background. I'm still confused..I'm open to any concentration...as long as it has a good job market..i was thinkin international health and epi...with definitely couple courses in biostats (cuz my supervisor recommended it)..but again if I do all this n there is no job then i dunt want to bother..so i wanted to know if anyone has an idea abt which concentration would be a better option..And I think UMASS-AMHERST has online public health classes...if u haven't experienced an online class, my personal thinking, don't take it...bad experiences wid online..way better to take classes..

Hellow, I may not agree with Gucci regarding job opportunities for Epidemiologist. Most of the EPI people with graduate degree I have met across have been employed. I also majored in EPI and landed a job by the time I graduated. From my experience, if you are interested in working in US, EPI with PhD would be one of the best option to consider. Also, your background in BGness would make a great combo to work in the industry or government sector. Anyway, good luck and feel free to contact if you think I can provide more info, Dharan
