A Nepalese man who was delivering a takeout Indian meal to a woman´s home has been accused of sexually assaulting her, the Associated Press reports.
Amit Hamal appeared in a Sydney court on Tuesday charged with having sexual intercourse without the woman´s consent last week.
Hamal is accused of entering the house through an unlocked door and assaulting the woman, who had been asleep in her bedroom.
Hamal´s lawyer says the sex was consensual.
Hamal was arrested at Sydney airport on Monday night as he was boarding a flight to Bangkok.
