Prime mininster poured heavily on Prachanda for violent activities of maoist cadres like brandishing weapons saying that the maoist leaders are receiving threats. Girija, infuriated with recent maoist activities, warned Prachanda,"' if you still resort to violence, then I will kick you back to the place where you came from".

The new temporary king "GIRIJA" seems he knows better on how to deal with extremists.

I hate Girija and he will go down in history as a man with no vision, no political will other than to make himself the Prime Minister.If Gyanendra had offered him the PM post; he would have 'tag along' with the king. I have no respect and trust on that 'low life'. Tell me what he had done thus far that makes my statement wrong.

Frankly speaking, it does not matter what he is upto now....good or bad. He is the one who is responsible for all the political instability and corruption after the first revolution. Nepal went 16 years (is that the number of years between first and second democratic revolutions??) back in time not to mention the numerous lifes lost; just because of this sick politician.

I do not have any doubt that Girija shares a lot in bringing the chaos in the country during his tenure as prime minister. You cannot undermine his principles, his political stands he has taken right after the house was dissolved. Finally, all parties (even maoist) have been included in the mainstream politics just because of his stand of restoring parliament.

If u are asked to choose a PM in the present scenario, who do u think will be a better leader? Though Girija is not good, u donot have any choice but Girija. He is the only person left whom all parties including maoist, international diplomats have a bit of belief left.

So on the ground, he never compromise on certain principles, he is the best leader..at least for the time being.

He will not lead his party and the country to have an alternate leader. Do you think it just happened that we do not have an alternate leader ? I do not trust the commies either...They seem to talk too much and deliver too little. However, I a sick and tied of past 20 years of Girija politics and ready for something beyound him. What else could go bad at this juncture ? I feel that we had enough problems from the bad politics of this low life GK that we should just be ready to trash him and try something new....Well, that does not directly answer your question for alternate leader but I seek to look for alternate that all parties will agree on. If not, what is an alternate when GK dies ? Should Nepal's future rely on a corrupt and no vision politician like Girija ? You show me some direction here...I feel like I am lost.

Yeah, I agree that GK never compromise on some principles: 'PM should be GPK'. Why
didn' he have the guts to set himself aside when Deuba was trusted from his party to
become the PM ? Why does he have to start the culture of 'Midterm elections' ? I do not
see any reason other than losing the PM'ship.

The young mind always urge the country to run in an ideal condition, politicians to be ideal, everything to be classical. You know, ideal thing is just an idea and classical thing exist in class, taught in class but do not exist in practice. Donot expect Girija or some other politician to be ideal...or classical.
Your question ' what if Girija dies' could be very contemporary. I can only say that there will be some chaos. I don't who can take advantage of that...but in a situation when the country is in ustable equilibrium, a small pinch could lead to big disaster. I donot say whatever GIRIJA doing is good. Do you think he should declare nepal a republic, in a way Prachanda says to do so. Prachanda has already signed an agreement to decide the fate of king by election. Prachanda does not have a penny of maturity. Can nepal shoulder a big jerk of declaring anything like that at the moment. I appreciate Girija for his maturity.....for his weight...not otherwise...
'What if Girija dies?' I don't know. But it is in favor of nepal that he be alive at least till CA elections...He is a balancing force...

Girija knows the formalities and technicalities of how to go through this 'sankraman kaal'. Prachande is forgetting his signature that everything will be decided by the CA. Girija has not. Girija knows that mob-rule that prachande is forcing on should end.

Girija is not a charismatic leader but a strong crisis manager which we need now. Like KTM BIS said, nobody is perfect and nobody can work the way you desire but a level of optimum output is expected from girija which certainly didnot happen amidst the rotten sucker leaders behind him. I would rather tell you to stay neutral if u don't like him personally and keep watching the next steps.

The next leader after Girija would not in any way be Sher bahadur, the split initiator and maoist generator. Its easy to write critique on paper but hard to write paper.
