Hello everyone, I just want to warn all nepai in the USA that Kali Travel is not a relaible ticketing agent for international flights. I bought ticket last year and was troubled a lot. 1. They charged me more money than promised. 2. My fligjt schedule was messed up. Total flight duration being 62 hours (22 hours more than orginal flight schedule). 3. Because of poor communication with the agent, my tickets got lost and I bought another ticket (Imagine a student paying around 4500 dollars to go home). 4. Later I was charged $100 for refund of one of the tickets. 5. The amount I am entitled to get for over-charging is never sent to me. 6. The agent now never ansewrs my telephone nor does replies my emails. So beware and think before dealing with this agent. i also had similar problem with kali travels. they suppose give me return $100 after i am back but its been a 3 yeares i haven't received yet.

I have been following this thread and I can totally understand why Prakash Ji is warning us about Kali Travels. It must have been very hard for him to do all the scheduling (i mean planning a trip to Nepal can be brain draining). My aunt got a ticket from Kali travels about a year ago and due to the hectic schedule/last minute planning, she someone managed to miss her flight to Nepal. She was very stressed out but people from Kali travels helped her in everyway possible. They helped her find another flight and she was able to fly back to Nepal. I am glad Prakash Ji expressed his side of the story but I don't think I can judge kali travels customer service based on one or two instances. My aunt was very satisfied with the service and looking at the amount of help kali travel offered (even though it was my aunt's carelessness) I am certainly going to continue buying my tickets from Kali travels.

Khaobaadi- You moron, consumers/customers are free to put their review of products/services they encounter with- defamation lawsuit protected. I'm glad this was shared by the originator of the thread. Never dealt with Kali Travels and never will based on one experience alone. I take word of mouth very seriously and the response by Kali's rep in here appeared unprofessional already. One too many instances.

Do you have any brains left in your head to realize that the thing that I posted earlier in this thread was a joke.... Dude let me tell you that I'm not a lawyer nor have I ever dealt with whatever travel agency as a customer and furthermore I have no personal or financial interest in that travel agency. Dude yoy are more stupid than George Bush and Osama .

Anti-defamation lawsuit will not work here. Just as there is a "buyers beware" clause in more civil litigation, there is also consumer's right allowance provided in the law. Hence, it is absolutely available for the consumer to review the product or service provided by the business in question, regardless of its nature. Having said this, the proprieters of Kali Travels might change their dba and continue their "malpractice" under different name. This is where the "buyers beware" clause again comes to play.

Enough is Enough.. If it was fully iNDIAN TRAVEL AGENT OR SOME OTHERs, then you wouldn't have brought it up here even. I also agree that just becuase of few instances the whole blame can not go to the agent alone. Yes mistakes do happen....Look at what happened with merger between AOL and Time Warner...HP and Compaq....But you still buy products from them.. Don't you still buy phone cards from Indian Websites? Eventhough you hate Indians...Even though they do not respond to you good. If you loos minutes you do not shout at those Indian Sites but you do shout at Nepali who is trying to help. This is typical of us Nepalese people, and I think we should learn how to move ahead instaed of bashing someone else here. If you have such a huge problem with someone then you should directly deal with the associated agent/person and try to resolve. Same thing happened with Pushkar Shah also. I agree many mistakes that was made by him also but instead of dealing with him directly all the frustrations were expressed at Sajha which didn't help at all but made worse. Do you have guts to shout at Big companies who screw up? Such as AT&T? Why do they have customer service? Big companies are not supposed to have problems, but yet have to deal with several angry customers... Its late here ..I think you get the point...

You Khaobadi, why the heck would I be scared of the word "lawsuit" that was targeted to someone else or to anyone for that matter, especially in here or anywhere else??? Don't kid yourself. Secondly, I may be joking or practicing my typing too. And lastly thanks, I take it as a compliment, I think both Bush and Osama are very smart. And I read that you're saying I'm smarter than them. HEE-HAW! Now don't go around and practice your typing too much, improve your handwriting for a change if you know vat I mean.

ANA_CA Nothing applies here in Sajha... Are you new to Sajha? Have you gone through other postings? Anyways my point or what I meant was that instead of writing several thread in one topic why not just deal with the main agent/person directly and solve that way. We alreday got the point that the main author is trying to make. We also got the point made by the agent. Instead of dwelling on the same issue why not find a way to resolve... That was my point. If you wanted to stick strictly to the topic then this should have been stopped long time back.

Kali travel consist of buncha liers. they will promish u a great price, send u the iternary and then vanish in the thin air. they wont respond to any emails or fone calls or anything and leave u stranded without any tickets. the funny thing is that their best excuse always is that they were in nepal. it was peaceland who gave got me a ticket just 7 days before my travel date when kali travel stranded me.

They also issued tickets to 3 guys from Oklahoma to go to nepal through some eastern europe country. They were told they dont need any visa or anything. But these guys returned back to US from that city, and they had to buy new tickets from a different travel agent cause kali travels couldnt be contacted.

C'mon guys, if you really feel cheated by Kali Travels, then I suggest you prepare the necessary evidence and contact Better Business Bureau, Consumer Protection Agency and your state's Attorney General. That's what they are there for. Sure, venting your anger here at Sajha serves a purpose of warning other Nepalis about alleged negligence by the said business, but if you really want to get some justice, that is if you really really mean it, you should contact the above mentioned authorities. That's it.

People seem to misunderstand or pretend not to understand. The point of the originator of this thread is to 'let others know about Kali Travels' , not to get his money back. I guess, had it been to get the money back, he would not publicize the case that is defaming Kali Travels. mero bichaar
