To all the Nepalese people living across the Globe.

Have we forgotten? One more reason why we are abroad for. Well friends and family if we have secured our own future, now I think we do have a greater future we need to worry about and that is the future of our nation NEPAL. Do we not think we have left our nation for a better reason which is to give our motherland back somehow something so we be proud saying 'hey I am from Nepal'. Have we all thought of doing something good for others? People! why should we be counted from the bottom of the list. Why does every video and documentry states "Nepal is one of the poorest country in the world".  Can we not do anything to change that statement. Fellas if we don't , my question to you all is "Who will?"

 

One alone can't do much. But all of us can do a lot for one and the one is NEPAL. Lets not be emotional because those days are gone we need to act and act swiftly. As we all know our nation is in a chaos and the situation is worseing day by day. The political parties are not doing enough nor any groups are focuing in the development and secureness of our nation. Are we just dummies here. Can we not do anything better than this. Do we have a solution? If we do why don't we share and bring ideas together and work on it for a noble cause. A cause for a better Nepal.

I know you do...and so do I love my country but that love is nothing if we don't act on it.

Fellow Future Presidential Candidates of NEPAL!

No matter what, the TITLE still is very inappropriate!!! However the idea and the motive is great. I'm one of you guys thinking about Nepal almost all the time and can't wait to be able to go back and do whatever I do for my country. Here is what I personally think.

Unlike all the leaders in Nepal who were busy in trying to "make / develop" the Country when they were at our age, I am busy trying to develop myself. I don't wanna repeat the same mistake all of our leaders made. By getting involved in politics at an early age and attending riots is how they got involved in politics and for some reason most people still think thats the way to do it. I think its wrong. Its good to worry about Nepal but lets focus on ourselves and our career first then worry about helping the country. Do what you wanna do with life, be good at it and take yourself to a position where you are capable of helping the country, then we'll talk about it. How about we all meet at "NANGLOS" in 10years from now, hopefully by then we will have developed much more from what we are today, we would be a lot more experienced, be it working in corporate america or getting your doctrate in your field of study. Thats when I wanna talk to you all and start maping the blueprint out for our country. All these talks now don't mean much. Go back to what you were doing and be the best at it, excel at it and then work on returning back to Nepal (trust me, that'll be the first and the biggest challenge you'll ever face). Can't really change a system without being part of it.

Thanks for the suggestion........but waiting another 10 years would be too late..........We probably won't have NEPAL in next 10 years if things go the way its going.......The need for a new turn is right now.... 10 years later....lets hope there are 10 times the people who would think as we are thinking......

4000+ views ? I can't blame you for your idea Mr. Gun - if you were not to have convoluted the title in such a manner, I wouldn't have read this at all. If one was to visit this forum and see this title, they would not hesitate for a second to click it, at least in most cases.  But, I think gaining attention is just one of many stages to come. We have turned into selfish human beings. I'm a hypocrite myself, a sad one of course. I wish I (we) could do things, but all these chapters are left undone. Who is going to be the first? A patriot act is something I hunt for. We can't hear of one these days and I know why - because, I think we have given up. A few talk about it, a few hear it on the news and the large masses who practice it, the politicians - kill it. They tear apart the very foundations of our country and make the innocent fight for their betterment. They involve in debauchery while leading the footprints of temples. They smile and wave at their fellow countrymen - backstabbing them when they switch directions. They are the devils in disguise. If we want to do something about it, we have to do it as a country.

hey guys.. how about this.... i don't think we are in a situation to eliminate poverty.. trafficking (by the way.. guys.. you should watch this movie.. "human trafficking") anyways.. where was i? yeah.. we can't just stop all the problems that we have in our country.. i as a lot of my fellow countrymen believe that our country is in a transitional phase..and every great nation or great democracy has to go through this.. so in my opinion.. let's make.. or take the small steps.. that we can afford to take to make a difference in our own little ways(keeping our financial and the time "ofcourse the amount of time we can put into this" into consideration)... as it was said by some bhai sahab.. (please don't hate me for using a hindi expression.. well.. you can label me as a dhoti lover..or whatever as some of you might call me) "kul karey so aaj karo.. aaj karey so abhi"... so let's just come up with ideas.. that's doable.. (is that even a word?).. something that's feasible.. i've an idea.. how about.. each and every single one of us .. sponsors a kid.. don't donate your money to some shady ngo in nepal.. i'm not saying all of'em are shady.. i think more than 80 % are legit.. but what i'm saying is.. let's cut the middle man out.. and by no means.. i'm trying to preach any thing against them.. i think they are great for doing what they are doing...this is for people like myself.. who can't afford to give a whole lot.. but would like to contribute.. so let's talk.. could be our parents... or friends who are backhome.. and help a kid.. get education.. i think it takes about 100$ a year to sponsor a kid.. which is $ 8.33/month. and it could be someone that you know.. a neighbor's kid.. someone from a family who are not doing so well.. whoever.. somebody who genuienly needs help..

what do you say people? and once again.. this is just an idea..let's throw some ideas here.. and i don't mean.. ideas like.. "hey let's kill girija..or prachanda...".. something that's constructive.. something that's reasonable.. something that's rational..
