I feel the same and my stocks are down as well...lol. However as I posted about facebook at 64 and today it is 58, I don't know where it will be in the next few months. Price to earning ratio is very high for these fashionable stocks like Tesla, Amazon, Facebook and Twitter. A friend of mine, after my multiple requests ended up buying Tesla at 250 (hoping it will reach 800 next year). Stock price and market cap are 2 different things and it takes like how you start to learn cycling or swimming and how you end up actually being able to balance yourself, same thing with stock price and market cap. We pay too much attention on stock price but we should be paying attention to market cap.

Nevermind, FB is 61 but I think FB will be down because of those mega acquisitions. If you buy something in your business, it must add more value to make you more and hence the stock price to go up. Those acquisitions are too big to bring anything of huge value in the short term and I don't know what holds for the long-term as anything can happen in the technology industry. So, I think FB will be down...as they're already on the short list of investors like Seth Klarman who already publicly mentioned that these are fashionable stocks. So, he must be ready to short these stocks with loaded cash..lol..will see how it goes but I see cloudy days ahead for facebook shareholders.

What do you all think?

There is no way that the market will go that low soon. I know last 2 weeks has been really bad but hang in there brothers, and this is the best time to buy. NPSP proved really good for me last year. I know there is a lot of turmoils but hang in there.

silentblogger, stocks like NPSP are like PEIX. These are special situation and they won't be affected by general market fall down. NPSP must have received FDA approval and those drugs are needed in good economy and bad economy. So, their market share won't be affected by the general economy. I think. But the rest of the stocks can go down hill which are not need to have products but only good to have..and most of the things in the world are good to have vs need to have..lol

lol yeah but sometimes Being Cash is better than being in a position...last few days you could have saved lots of $$$ if you had cash.... now all the stocks gapping down..But if you look the IBB biotechnology index chart...look at the 5 year chart and it looks like it has topped....it can't go up everyday...it has to pull back and thats what we've seen.... Everything looks like a bargain but they'll even look cheaper tomorrow if market keeps pulling down... Remeber most of these biotechs were in the pennies in 2008-9..... you don't want to be the last one to get out.. Don't be like a frog in a boiling pot... frog doesn't realize the water is boiling so it dies...

just opinions...don't take seriously though !!! SMILE :) . i cut my positions few days ago and i am glad i did...being very cautious here.

But I do think PEIX is a bargain today and most of the people are buyers..When PEIX was in 7 dollars last month..there were a lot of sellers. Same thing happened when the stock was selling for 3 dollars 5 months ago. I didn't know about it back then.

But one comment..lol..I won't really believe that you have timed the market every time and you'll continue to do so..nobody can do that each and every time. think you had your time..because I have bought some stocks at the bottom as well and I did smile big..lol. What do you say? But you're did it right this time (in my opinion) and you should drink some beer..if you do so..just joking

it's not like i am not buying at all....lol i do buy at the bottom but cut out with some profits...not going big positions...i only hit when the iron is hot.... you seem to be in love with PEIX...do not ever fall in love with one stock.... many people were marrying DNDN at $45...everyone thought it was a block buster lol...now its close to bankruptcy look the DNDN chart...trade a stock not marry it.. I wouldn't even touch PEIX at this point but that's just me....I'd like to play it less risky...i'd rather get in early and wait it out rather than buying at the top and holding the bag forever..
we tend to hold the bad stocks and sell the good ones very quickly just to lock profits and hold the bad ones forever in the hope to get the money back..that's human nature.

Well, as I have shared before.. I have never bought any stocks that have been shared here. Simply because I like to find my own stocks. I've seen here you guys making so much return in so less time..perhaps 10 times better than my results and happy for you..but I do not regret not buying your stuffs. So all is good in the sajhahood at this time. I'm confident about my picks and so you should be. Did I say anything complex? Wouldn't you be confident about where you want to find your apartment or what car you' want to buy? There are thousands of companies and we do get trapped on our own picks..and I think that is what we should be doing. And some win and some lose..but mostly..the ones who know the rules and patient..normally win in card games..life's a card game in real..sounds like stupid...but that is how I feel..We all chase something and we gamble, with the best of our knowledge..in my opinion.

It's good that you're not just blindly buying any stock or blindly following anyone.....If that's the case people should be paper trading and not buying with real money... one big mistake and they'll get wiped out and never look at the stock market again... been there done that.....

Good luck

Yes brother..I'm trying to simplify things here. There are always smarter people than us but that doesn't mean that they won't get sick and you'll live healthy. Same way..you don't have to be a wizard or 4.0 to exceed..Just pay attention to general market environment and be conscious.. Things will be okay..in the long term we all die..but before that..let's try to learn to live easily/happily..that's my motto..lol

one big mistake and they'll get wiped out and never look at the stock market again... been there done that....."

I have been on the market for only 2 years in a serious way. I started buying since 2009 but the fund was very small and I didn't bother about the market until 2013...because as you know..stock market is something ..neither our grand parents have participated with or our people-in-law or our friend or their families..I can pretty much say..that you and I are the one of the fewest people in this business..trying to learn and I can tell why..Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world and we just don't know what it means to be not poor. As most people are herds.we are no different. So, whoever are participating..kudos to you..and as I've always said..young people should start learning early..why..it's better to learn Paplu, flash, marriage or whatever else is there..early in your life than later..so you become proficient without losing much..just like Messi..started palying so early and he's scoring like crazy

So I don't know much about how people exactly went through in 2008/2009..but I have read about the people who crashed the financial market..Micheal burry comes to mind.

Hey Guys, if you seriously think that the market is going down, then isn't this time to buy some inverse ETF and Gold and Silver?

I also think that there will be at least 20-30% correction by the end of this year. I have bought some TZA last week, will see what happens.

I have put my bets mostly on Gold and Silver mining stocks hoping that PM prices will go up in next few months, if not, by the end of this year. SLV at $18.90 looks really cheap to me, what do you guys think? If you are happy with moderate gain or loss, SLV is good. If you are aggressive (like me), you can go with USLV.

But this all depends on where the gold price will be in coming days. There are many forecast that gold will be over $2000 by the end of this year and I have also seen some forecast of $750 for same time so lets gamble carefully.

sojoketo....future is unpredictable..just like those football games or those elections. I am guessing and warren buffett ko big fan.

Nepboy - Good luck with Gold. I bought IAG in December but after reading about the historical gold prices..decided that Gold is not for me at this price. In a way, with NPR to USD at 1 USD = 100 NPR..gold price is already 30% up..just not reflected.
