I have an Iphone 4GS with 2 years contract. I am not done with the contract yet. I want to send Galaxy S4 to Nepal. What happens if i take early upgrade and order Galaxy, after using for few months and tell sprint that i lost it and want to go back to my Iphone?

You don't need to tell them you lost it bro. Its your phone, you can do whatever you want to do.

Hey efg bro,
I would suggest sending ATT unlocked iphone/S4 because you will never loose the unlock even if you update the phone. In CDMA phone like sprint, you will loose the unlock if you update it. As Furke said, you don't have to worry about informing them that your phone is lost. You can do whatever you want to do.
Peace

Thank you Furke and Ramailo manche. But I could not understand what you meant by loosing unlock. I have sprint connection so I don't know how can I get ATT phone. If I send Sprint galaxy 4s phone to Nepal, will they be able to use it with sim card?

efg, Galaxy S4 for Sprint is not a worldwide phone. Simply speaking it doesn't have a place where you can put the sim card in it. Even though on a Samsung website it says that it is a worldwide gsm phone, which it is but only in a cell phone service like att and tmobile, not in a Sprint or Verizon. That's the downfall of CDMA service that it won't have a place to put the sim card in it. The few sprint gsm phones which you can use in Nepal are few versions of Blackberry, Sprint Iphone 4S and Iphone 5. You can unlock the Sprint Iphone 4S by calling the Sprint Internation tech support. Tell them that you're travelling abroad and need to unlock the device, they will do it for free and it can be used in Nepal forever. Once you come back you can use any other device in Sprint. No need to give any explanation. I think that Asurion, the third party insurance for sprint now do insured Iphones as well but it's $11.00 per month instead of $8.00. If you want you can insure the device before you leave and once you come back you can say that you lost the device and claim another one. But don't quote me on this because Asurion is pretty strict on this matter and remember that lying the insurance claim is a federal law. I hope this helps. Good luck and enjoy in Nepal.
