Thoroughly enjoyed the video... Paramendra - thanks. Wish I could have been there. Felt bad for the very sparse crowd. Guess the RP entertainement didn't plan it well. Ah well... Here's Paramendra's video, not having to go to google video's site. . if he doesn't mind.

it was raining the whole evening and the venue was not as luring which could be attributed to the low turnout. and then there were two f***ing drunkards about to spoil the fun by starting a fight which was avoided in a civilized manner. nabin dai was wonderful. i had never met him or seen him performing in nepal. i still remember my school days when i used to save my pocket money to buy his cassettes and then CDs despite my parents' nagging that listening to too much of his songs was distracting me from my studies. but i just loved his songs. 'avash' has to be the best ever album for me. to see him live in action so far away from home, chat with him and drink with him.... simply amazing. kudos to the organizers and thanks a lot for this video.

After watching that video, I wish top artists like Nabin would dress/act like top artists from other parts of the world. What was that dress-up? Ek number ko lamphu jasto - I would be embarassed to invite any of my non-Nepali friends to come to a show claiming Nabin to be one of the greatest singers in Nepal. You can act as informal as you want with your friends - but at least put on a show on stage. The only guy I think that performed and behaved like a top artist on the stage was Deepak Bajracharya in my experience. What did you guys think? Also, the crowd (was this in Boston?) was pathetic - so much for the organizers.

Shirish - maybe you should be asking yourself that question. Low turnout does have to do with poor promotion by the organizers. How many Nepalese people are there in Boston? FunkyBuddha - no need to run your emotions high. I understand they might've been tired - but if you are performer, you still need to come up with your act on the stage. No excuses if people have paid $25 to come see the show.

Low turn out has nothing to do with Nabin Bhattarai or Angel Band. The thing is this guy Rabi lamichhane and his partner doesnot want to get the local folks involve in it. They think they have to pay them some money. Matter of Fact they didn't pay Nabin Bhattarai as well as ANGEL BAND well enough either. Like I keep saying you guys from Day one It all has to do with the Rabi Lamichhne and his partner why Nabin's concert has low turn over. But he is Still a GREAT Singer.
