Government today published a report card saying its government has been a Grand Success. Do you agree?Govt's honeymoon report card paints positive self image
The
government today published a 40-page 'progress report' of its initial
100 days in action, which tends to paint a rosy picture of governance
under the Maoist-led coalition.
The report said the
coalition government made significant achievements in a number of areas
during the honeymoon period including foreign relations and revenue
collection.
According to the report, Prime Minister
Pushpa Kamal Dahal's foreign trips and the successive visits of
high-level foreign delegations to Nepal were very important in
improving the country's foreign relations.
Unveiling
the report amid a press conference in the capital, Information and
Communication Minister and government spokesperson, Krishna Bahadur
Mahara, said the government had to work more on institutionalising the
recent political changes in the country rather than on the day-to-day
problems of the people.
Saying that the budget
review process took unnecessary long time, Mahara said the government
would concentrate more on development works in the coming days.
He
also informed that new policy on internal security and defence would be
introduced very soon. In the aftermath of the deadly terror attacks in
the Indian city of Mumbai adequate measures have been taken in order to
upgrade security in Nepal's airports, Mahara added.

Disappointing and doubt-generating !
That’s my verdict on the Maoist-led government’s honeymoon period performance.

It might be great for Maoist point of view- because they have got chance to flown to East to West. It's amazing achievement for the ex-terrorist (to whom fixed the price for their head Rs.25 & Rs.50 Lakh)
However, there is no one point as remarkable during this period except taking Rs. 40,000 salary and furnishing various allowance, medical bills.........
Conclusively just they are hanging around for international visit, making money, increasing crime, voilence, deteriorating economic situation, in geometrical ratio compare to past period.

I laughed my butt out reading NEPE's post. It was not very long ago the self proclaimed purist NEPE, who likes calling himself an intellectual argued that the Maoists were the only hope for Nepal. The very same fox, now, in order to become politically correct is, changing his color. As long as Nepal has self procliamed purist and intellectuals like NEPE, that are ignorant on what radical communism is capable of delivering, Nepal has no future.
