ALways rude, never in time. Even for a simple passport rewenal you have to call number of time. Worse than "char Khal Adda". A while ago, there was a talk on this forum about their possible involvement in money order fraud. I had a better experience with the Embassy in NYC.

There is no change even a single bit in the mentality of the people working over there. They look after the nata, kripa or dollar. That's all. That's a mini Nepal. They will never change until you go for a radical change in the nomination of these kind of people. Everyone knows... No one can get the job in embassy without ghoosh and nata. So how could they be different. Even the present ambassador once told the artists not to wear Nepali customs in USA while malati mangale were in Nepal tour. According to him, people here will behave differently if they were typical nepali custom. What could you expect to be the Nepali embassy if ambassador has such kinda idea.... huh NEPALI huna laaj lagchha bhane janu ni Banaras tira? Chalaune maanchhe ko kami chhaina yaha.

I AND FEW OF MY FRIENDS HAVE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH NEPALESE EMBASSY.. WE BASICALLY WERE TRYING TO RENEW OUR PASSPORT.. ITS A SIMPLE JOB AND THEY WOULD TAKE FOREVER TO DO IT.. CAN'T BELIEVE THOSE WORKERS THERE ALL SHOULD BE FIRED FROM THERE.. THEY WERE REALLY RUDE WHILE DEALING WITH AND WE CALLED THEM SO MANY TIMES AND COULD NOT GET HOLD OF THEM, LUNCH BLA BLA... HAVE YOU EVERY HEARD OF A A LUNCH FOR A WHOLE DAY?? YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO NOWHERE THAN NEPALESE EMBASSY IN DC... BEING UNABLE TO CONTACT, WE WENT THERE IN THE OFFICE AND YOU SHOULD SEE THE MESS INSICE THE OFFICE.. GOD... HOW CAN YOU EXPECT NEPAL TO IMPROVE LIKE THIS... WORKERS THERE ARE JUST DOING NOTHING... TO NEPALESE WORKERS THERE, GUYS DO SOMETHING ITS US HERE AND YOU GUYS KNOW HOW THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AROUND??? I DON'T KNOW MAYBE IT ME WHO FACED THIS ??? BUT IF LOTS OF YOU ALL ARE FACING THE SAME PROBLEMS, NEPALESE EMBASSY NEEDS A BIG FACE LIFT...

It is called " Baseko bani kata jane". They never worked in nepal so they think it is same here. I wonder if they ever went to any US office and saw how good their customer service and how helpful they are. I never had a hard time in the US office but I know how it is in Nepal??? Oh, yeah, I w ent thru all that everytime I have to get something done at the govt. office in Nepal I use to take a whole day leave from the office because I knew even just to get an stamp done in my documents it could take all day.
