I'm graduating in this fall with a master degree. I'm planning to bring my wife and son for my graduation. I have two options either to apply for F2 visa or tourist visa. I wanna go with the first option but I heard that they might reject F2 visa because my F1 is going to expire in December 2010. Any suggestions, experiences would be appreciated.

I had same problem some time ago. It is better if you applied in Tourist Visa B1. you can always apply for change of status from here from B1 to F2 in USCIS that would be more easier
