I am in tourist visa and want to change to f1. Is is possible to do here in states?
Appreciate your help

I think, any visa can be changed to F-1. But, for sure, if you are in tourist visa, you can come to F-1. Just visit the international school advisor and they will guide you.

As Rukhdel has advised go to the International office of the school you want to attend. They will help you to change your status.You must be in status and if you want to change your status you don't need to extend your visa.


It is a very simple process fill up  a from that the international office will give you and you are all set. But to accept or reject is in the hand of USCIS.
