I dont understand why people are acting crazy? Why is this DV letter-hoax???
If you  have received letter for DV 2010 then there should some sort of info in the GPO, Nepal-which is authorized postal care in Nepal (except if you are living in the countries other than Nepal).
STATE GOV US do not sent letter earlier to those winners living in the countries other than Nepal. If you have received the letter than there should be other receiving in Nepal as well because letter to all Nepali DV 2010  winner is sent in the same time to everybody no matter which part of world they are living. i got a green card .....they sent me via e mail ..told me that i have been selected by computer to get green card directly ...........they also asked me to print out and keep it safe.......and after one year they will send me passport by email again....followed by american wife and mexican children.....all by e mail...bhutro jasto

DV 2010 Results will be announced this year 2009 by the KCC to those who are selected as winners..

Those who are selected for the DV-2010 Visa Lottery by the computer
random draw will be announced by regular postal mail between the months
of May and July 2009. The winners will also provide with information on
the immigrant visa fees and how to proceed further with the processing.
The addresses which were entered in the EDV application form by the
applicants will be used to announce the winners. After entering the
lottery if you have changed your address to a new one then you must
check for the winning notification with the old address.
E-mail, Telephone or Fax will not be used to announce the winners. If
you get any notification through any of this way verify it good. If you
are selected for the program to process, you don't need to pay any
money till you attend for the interview at the embassy or consular
office.


Those who have applied for the diversity visa lottery and not been
selected will not get any notification. Those who have applied for the
DV2010 can check their status of selection online from July 1, 2009,
until June 30, 2010.



If you didn't get selected within this period, you can apply for the
next year green card lottery. KCC will not announce the winners name
list. Also the US Embassies and the Consulates too will not be able to
provide you the winner’s names. Some countries like Nepal and Albania
get their country DV Lottery winners name list from their post office
and publish them as winners name list in news papers and web sites.
As per the DV2010 instructions, those applicants who did successfully
applied using the E-DV form will be able to check whether they are
selected in the computer draw or not. When the applications are
successfully accepted the computer screen will display the applicant’s
name and confirmation number. With this confirmation number and
applicant's personal detail, they can check online to see whether they
are selected or not in the dv 2010 diversity visa lottery. This
facility will be available online from July 1, 2009, until June 30,
2010. But, take notice that who are not selected will not get any
notifications by mail.
