You will be fine travelling thru Delhi. Just make sure you dont have to get your luggage at DELHI airport.

movingagain,
Flying via Indira Gandhi International airport in Delhi can be a great experience. Indian culture being similar to ours, it feels right at home once you land in Delhi. The new airport is spectacular, and it is very pleasing to see two/three generations of Indians working well together.
If your connecting flights are not linked, you may have to collect all your luggage, and check-in again with airline taking you to Nepal. They may charge you 30-50 usd if luggage is very heavy. But if tickets are all linked, you may not even have to do that. Even with luggage transfer process, observing Delhi airport on the way to Nepal is totally worth and fun.
Great food/coffee/tea, easy to work with staff, plenty to notice while waiting for flight, cheap calling to Nepal from the airport, and knowing that you are only 1.5 hrs flight away from home - a lot of bright sides to feel while being in Delhi airport. If you run into something unexpected, just be courteous and explain yourself to the staff. The emerging youth staff of airport will solve the issue while smiling, laughing with fellow staff.

movingagain, you may want to ask your travel agent about collecting luggage directly in KTM. That would ease your travel. If tickets/airlines are linked, you should be able to do so.

As long as you dont buy two separate tickets, you dont have to claim your baggage at new delhi. Just make sure while you check in at the airport, tell them to check in your bags all the way to KTM.
