"But some of them are going to be hard... eh... esp. with the ones with "ग", which were pretty simpler till yesterday." --KALANKI Ok, we have re-wired it a little. The ordinary gya is restored to what it used to be, but words that are based off of 'gyan' will still see ज्ञान , etc. This should meet your needs. About the short R you mentioned, we could program it to a key but we are not sure if it deserves a dedicated key of its own... If there are not THAT many words that use that symbol, we can enter those words into the special words database and that will take care of that. Thanks tho. You've been great, as always. Keep it coming...and add those funny words that you always come up with into the special words db, too!

" लौ, अब भने सजिलो भयो ! तर अझै मेरो तर्फबाट यौटा सुझाब, चन्द्रबिन्दुको लागि दिइएको बटन (" ^" ) जर्मन र फ्रेन्च किबोर्ड भएका कम्प्युटरमा सरसर्ती हेरेर पाउन सकिएन । त्यसैले यसको लागि अर्कै बटन (key) दिनसके म जस्ता प्रयोगकर्तालाइ सजिलो हुनेथियो ! " --Ocean We considered your suggestion and have changed the chandrabindu character from the '^' key to '**' (two asterisks). I hope this makes it a little easier on you. Thanks.

Anonymous: Well, yes, you are right, we may be able to reverse the logic and produce the Roman sequence from a given Unicode set. We may do that in the future, and I can see where it could be useful, but for now our priority has been to get the Roman-to-Unicode part on a farily useful state (and I think we're close to getting there). Thanks for the input...

" say you want to write धत् मोरा कस्तो कुरा गर्छ and you type dhat. gives you धत्। with "purna biram". you have to hit period to get that त् but it gives "purna biram right after than, and seems like the sentence end. " red bro-- well the scoop is that the 'Smart Converter' (SM) thinks that a trailing half letter should not have the sign (so it should appear as the complete consonant)... Like what_more said, you can tell SM to leave certain words alone by putting them inside the square brackets... But keep testing. I'll buy you a beer for every valid bug you find :-p... Same goes to Kalanki... I guess I already owe him a carton tho ;-)

Hello, everyone. Thanks again for the continued support. I think we are now out of the Beta versions... The software has been pretty thoroughly tested and is in a stable shape. So Alpha 1 is out. We'll keep trying to make it better...

Anonymous, If you're still around, just wanted to tell you that we did consider your request and have implmented a solution in the current version that should meet your needs... Essentially, it can now do a 'reverse' conversion. So for a given block of Unicode Nepali, it will tell you what the roman should be. To use this feature, first go to the 'Edit Mode', then unlock the Nepali panel (by clicking on the little padlock sign up at the top)... There, copy & paste a chunk of Unicode (like from kantipuronline.com or something), hit a space key, and it should produce the corresponding Roman on the left panel... Hope this makes the ABCNs (umm, not sure about the C, eh) happy! Well, the NBARCNs, too. What's the AR?: American Raised :-p BTW, join the users group for more updates!
