peace,
u can check their website. if u have 3.5 GPA, u should get transfer scholarship and if it is above $1000, u will be eligible for in state fees. but make sure to check their web site. they should have additional info on other scholarships too.
u can apply for TPEG grant that is available every semester but this won't make u eligible for in state. ur best bet is to get transfer scholarship.
but please make sure to check the website or call them directly and talk to financial aid office. they will explain.
hope this helps.

Dude,If you become a Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) member, you'll get two scholarships. The first one is general transferscholarship and the second one of the PTK. There's no more separete application at the UTA for scholarship. When you fill out the International Transfer Application, the application will be automatically be forwardrd to the scholarship department. But to qualify for the PTK scholarship and also to get the regular General Transferscholarship, you have to first, apply early (if you plan to transfer in Spring 09, you should apply in August at thelatest) and second, present your certification that certifies you as a PTK member ASAP. If you delay insubmitting any document, no matter how high GPA you might have, you will not get scholarship because the university will run out of funds as the time progresses towards Fall. When you get any scholarhip (any kind) your international tuition will automatically get reduced into instatetuition fees. The minimum GPA to be eligible for any kind of scholarship is 3.25 or 3.0 with Associates Degree. If you are a PTK member and have GPA higher than 3.25, you being an Associates degree holder ornon-holder really does not matter. If your GPA is lower than 3.25, then you can get a scholarship with an Associates Degree, but again even going this way, your GPA must be at least 3.0. Have to gone through the degree programs of Medical technology and Bio Medical Eng at the UTA seriously????Because for MT degree you need to have the following specific courses:16 hours of Bio (8 hours Bio 1 and 2 and 8 hours Anatomy and Physiology 1 and 2)16 hours of Chem (8 hours General Chem 1 and 2 and 8 hours Org 1 and 2)8 hours Physics 1 and 24 hours Advance Microbiology 3 hours Advance Virology3 hours Advance Genetics3 Hours Advance BioChem Iand 16 hours of courses that I don't have in the top of my mind right now. Besies this, you will have to have54 hours of Clinical courses at the Tarleton State Univ. Med Tech School at Fort Worth. That schoolruns Mon through Fri 8 am to 5 pm and consists of 10 months in that school followed by 6 monthsof hospital rotation. So, that is a total of 16 months, not counting UTA.UTA has only a Masters Degree in BME and roughly consists of 5 years after transferring at the UTA giventhat you have taken almost all of the pre req courses at community college and very few courses required for these two degrees match.I am not trying to discourage you, but check every thing with Advisor Jane Pugh, who is a nice and helpful lady, before making any decisions. All the very best to you! Â

what u mean by holding I-20? You just need to fill the application for UTA. That's all. And send the previous school transcripts, toefl score, I-20 copy, I-94 etc. You don't have to fill no extra form to get Phi-theta scholarship or general; transfer or outstanding scholarship. You said you are in community college. So, you can be a member of Phi-Theta if you have your GPA 3.5 or above. If you have 3.5 above, you are automatically eligible to for instate tution fee + $2000 transfer scholarship per year. And, if you are PTK member, your scholarship amount will be increased by $1000 per year for 2 years. If you have 3.75, you will be getting $3800 per year scholarship others remaining same as above. If you have $3.25 or above or community college gradiate, you will still get instate + $1000 per year scholarship. However, scholarship amount changes time to time. So, contact financial aid department for the current policies.
Remember the application deadline and scholarship deadline is different. So, apply early. Seems like you have already applied. Good Luck!!
